So I had my F1 Visa interview just to give a background I saw a lot of applicants getting refused and was super nervous. Here is how it goes.
Visa: Approved
Time: 9 am
Got there at 8 30 and waited for hours there was a long queue in the waiting area and I was called until 9 45am.
Me: Good Morning
VO: Good Morning, pass me your I20 and Passport
Me: (pass them with a smile)
VO: what are you studying
Me: Biochemistry
VO: have you ever been to US
Me: Twice, as a J1 sponsored by US government and than as an F1 to finish my high school in America and than transferred to university and did my first year with a 3.8 gpa and came for renewal.
VO: who will sponsor your education
Me: I have been offered a full ride and Dorm and food will also be covered and no expense to my family
VO: Good!
Me: I can show you the notarized letters
VO: No need!
Me: (just smiled)
VO: (typing) everything looks good, your visa is approved. Let me explain you that government is getting strict about students working and not going to school; your visa should be ready next week
(Keeps passport, returns other things)
Me: thank you very much
VO: have a good day and Good Luck!
So before me a lot of people I saw getting rejected yes it is hard to get a visa but if you have everything and your goals of coming back are well established and you have all the paper work you should be good! Don?t worry and be confident!
