F1 OPT but entered on B2

Hi,

I am a Canadian citizen and I am on an F1-OPT. I returned to Canada for summer vacation but I visited the US during that time on occasion (twice within the same month) on a B2 status because my job doesn't start until the end of the summer. In retrospect it is really foolish of me to do so. I am wondering if my F1 OPT will be cancelled and if I should do anything to rectify the mistake. Thank you so much.

If you're a Canadian citizen, then why didn't you enter on the VWP? As to whether or not it's going to affect you is really up to the VO at the time you re-enter to continue your OPT.

Canada is not part of the VWP. Canadian visitors are admitted on B2.

you're correct about the VWP, that was my mistake, however according to the ESTA site, unless they are coming for school or work purposes(why he has an F1 visa) they also don't need a visa to enter although they are able to apply for one if they'd like
