    Hello!

    Hi there,

Please donot ponder about your SEVIS number. As soon as you get the number, you can get the slots booked. Here are some tips:

    > Get the necessary documents ready for the VISA interview.
    > fill up all the online DS documents, 156,157 & 158.
    > Check for the dates on
https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/ApplnForms...Residense.aspx as much frequently as possible for a stretch of four to ten days. The consulate tends to open fresh slots now and then to clear the heavy rush (even saturdays).

    > once you get a desirable slot, just go ahead and get it booked, (as you have already got the necessary documents saved and ready online.

Also, most universities donot entertain sending the SEVIS number throught email. But they do it through express courier services, that reach in four to five working days!

The dates will definitely be there, atleast till mid july. TRUST me!

    Best luck!

      hai saipraveen..
      thanks for ur information..

i need the admission to be postponed to next sem because i dont even find enough time to resign my current job...i have to give a notice period of 2 months, before resigning ,to my employee .so i think i cant make things for Aug sem..
so do i have any chance for requesting them(the college-ASU) for postponing the admission to spring sem...

      plz inform me....

        Hi Srikanth

        Srikanth,

This choice of postponing the admission decisions vary case by case with different universities. The best option is to mail/call the admission coordinator and let'em know the situation and look for options. Usually, if you have acquaintance the department/professors, you can look for subsequent admission, which may/may not require re-application.

        Stay hopeful!
