Hi My son is on F1 visa and currently doing PHD. He completed undergrad in the USA and directly got PhD admission(without Masters). He's on medical leave and we are thinking of getting him into a job instead of PhD(because of his health issues).He did 1 year OPT and 1 year STEM OPT .Just wondering if he can get into job using his undergrad OPT until he gets his H1B visa.My questions are
1.Can he discontinue PHD and use his undergrad OPT?
2.He already spent 2 years in OPT.Does he has has any OPT period left to move to work?
3.Is there anything we need to be aware of when he looks for job opportunities?
