  • Change from L2 Visa to F1 Visa

I got my F1 visa approved in July in an overseas Consulate, however I traveled back to the US on a L2 visa more that 30 days before the school started and therefore I was admitted under the L2 visa, I'm attending College under the L2 Visa but would like to change to F1 for OPT, Can I leave the country and re-enter under the F1 visa which is still valid?, do I need a new I20 Form?

Yes you can. No, as long as the current I20 is valid, and properly attested by the University, you should be fine.
Just an opinion; Not legal advice.
