student interview visa cancelled by the embassy and the new reschedule date are late

Hello,

I am from Nepal.

I had schedule for f1 visa on 5th December,2018 about a month ago in November. I was notified by the embassy, that my interview has been cancelled because of public holiday today 4th Dec. The next available date is 7th jan, 2018. The university I have applied to has orientation on 4th jan and without attending orientation, I will not get enrolled in the program.


What should I do now?

I did email the embassy but the reply I got from them is to schedule appointment in the next available date. What should I do now? Who should I talk to about this?
