Hello everyone,
I don't know if anyone ever encountered this problem before, and if you do, please advise. My problem is, my I-94 online record is not found after 5 years. And I'm still in status (F-1), and I thought that I-94 only expires when my I-20 expires. I called the DIS (deferred inspection site) and they said that I-94 is automatically expired after 5 years and advise me to get out of the country and return to get a new one ( I was like "ARe you freaking serious, that is all you can advise). The thing is there is a mistake on my I-94 (my first and middle name got switch, and the DMV based on that I-94 and gave me the Driver license with the name in that order). I'm running out of option now. The DMV also advised me I can get it change by going to court, but does it work for international student since I'm not a permanent resident here?
Please help me out, I'll be really appreciated.
