Status change from H4 to F1

I got admission offer from the State Univ of NewYork for a Ph.D. program with full tuition and graduate assistantship for this Fall. Presently I am on H4 visa and planning to apply for change of status while being in US as soon as possible.
Can anybody help me with a sample cover letter for the status change from H4 to F1. Moreover, is there anybody who knows about the chances of approval of this kind of visa status change or any prior experience? I am really tensed about it. Your help is extremely appreciated. I'm not sure what you mean by a sample letter............the change is done via form I-539 without any sample letter required.

By 'sample letter' I meant the cover letter which I need to send with my I-539 application alongwith other docs to USCIS.
Yes, I know the case varies from individual to individual but still if anybody has any sort of earlier cover letter written for change of status then i can get some idea to write the same for me.

There is no cover letter requiremnt and contrary to what you believe the letter has absolutely no bearing on the application............its just courtesy and really not necessary...but i've sent one to your inbox
