Hello,
I have a friend who is visiting from Japan on a student visa. He is going to study English at a university here and his class ends in mid-October. That means he can stay until mid-December but he would like to stay until late January or early February. He can't afford to register for another class at the university. Is there a way to get his visa extended or change it to another kind of visa? Can he register for an inexpensive community college class and would that qualify him for an extension? What are the possibilities?
