I had an F1 visa until may 31, and I'm here now on an OPT. I've decided though to go back to europe to look for a job. When I leave the US next week, I loose my OPT.
I would like to visit the US for a couple of days around christmas time (4 months from now), normally I do not need a special visa for that.
So my question is, is the re-entering time after an F1 visa 3 months (i've heard it was 3 months for a j1 visa) Does the fact that I had an OPT play a role? From when do they start counting, from when my visa ended, or from when I leave the country? Do I have to 'cancel' my OPT?
