**** *opt Exipiry - H1 Start Date **** *

Hi,

My OPT expired on July 7, 2005 and my H1B started on OCT 19, 2005. I got my Acknoledgement or the Lin number on August 23rd. I was not working during that period and have paystubs and W2s to prove that. But is it OK that i was in the US during that period? Was i in legal status??

I have an appointment next week for my H1B stamping in Matamoros, and would like to know if this would be a roadblock to it.

If your F1 visa (not OPT) was valid till August 23rd then you are fine.
