Travel During OPT

Hi Everyone,
I am Niraj. I recently graduated and my OPT begins on 1st of Oct, 2006. I am planning to go to India during the dec or jan. Is there any possibility under which I can make a trip home and if so.. under what circumstances is that possible.

you can travel freely while your OPT is valid. Just get a stamp on your I-20 from your university saying that you are on OPT and currently working. Just a reminder, you do not owe social security (5%) & medicare (1.94%) taxes while on OPT. Tell your employer not to deduct these taxes from your paycheck.
