Hi, I'm looking for an answer to a question that so far nobody has been able to answer. Hopefully you guys can help me out!
My question :
Can a F1 student visa holder be deported if he is charged with a misdemeanor ?
I'm currently a fulltime F1 student in the U.S. and was a few days ago given a "exhibition of speed ticket" (for spinning my tires on wet pavement in the middle of the night, it's conviction 23109c on the california code)
I learned that this offense is a "misdemeanor" which to my understanding is somewhat of a serious offense.
Are there any risks that they deport me for that ? Or should I not be worried ?
Thanks, any help is appreciated, I quite don't know what to do. School was helpless. District office was helpless as well.
