Can H1-b holder sponsor F1?

Hi,
I'm working in US and hold H1-b visa. Got married recently. My wife would like to pursue MS in US. Can I sponsor her or does it have to be her parents only? Will it be a problem to get F1 visa under these circumstances (if I'm shown as the sponsor)?

Is it advisable to apply for F1 or H4, considering that she will be going to school in US? I understand that as H4, she won't be eligible to get assistantship.

Neither you nor her parents can sponsor her for F1 it has to be an education institution. You being here might be a problem for her actually getting it however, but it would all depend on the reviewing officer at the consulate
