Brothers sponsoring for my admission.. is that ok ?

I got i20 and i am waiting to take a visa appointment.. Now i have two older brothers working in the US.. My brother told me not to show much funds here in INDIA.. He told he will show his funds and give a sponsor letter.. Will that be a problem ? Many feel that its not advisable to show brother's funding... Both brothers have more than the required fee in their bank accounts, and am also going to show my property documents and my dads IT returns.. But i dont think dad will be able to show $40000 as ready cash.. we have shares and FDs and Mutual Funds etc...

Now my problem is.. I can show 40000$ from my dad too.. But brother says its not needed.. and his papers are more that enough..

Someone please help....
