j1 to h1b
j1 training, i'm waiting for my waiver, in case i'll get it, what can i do to stay legal in US.? I'm still ok with my program until sept. after that...start praying. can i change my status to h1b? anything as long as i'm legal. thx

1. Your sponsor can extend your J1 status.
2. After getting your waiver, your employer should file H1B application for you to change your status from J1 to H1B. -
but i heard there are no more H1B visas for this year, is that true? if it is, what am i supposed to do? thxComment

1. If your H1B filing employer is non-profit organisation or academic institute, there is no time or number limitation, they can file any time of the year.
2. If your employer is private company, they will come under this time and number limitation for H1B. Contact your HR. They should have more info about this situation.Comment
