Visiter to F1

Hello all -
I am here in USA on Visister visa , I found it facinitating and am planning on study here .
I am planning on changing my visa status from Visiter to Student , and was wondering if any one has done it recently !

What is the process for me to get it transfereed ?
Do I have to go back to india to get it convereted ? or should I just change my status here and start study witout going back to India ?

Well, the only way u can change ur status to F1 is by going back to your home country and reapply for F1 visa . You cannot change your visa status in US when u are in Visitor's Visa
