    From F-1 to H-4

    Hello,
    I am currently in the US with an F1 (student) visa. My wife rcently got her H-1 visa. But she is currently in India, since she cannot join me before October.

    I want to know if I can change my status from F1 to H4 before she arrives in the US in October.

    Also, what will my status be while I am awaiting approval? Am I still on F-1?
