Hello everyone,
I need some advise regarding F1 visa
I came here to do my Masters and then enrolled in a PhD program at a different university. Now its been more than a year since my F1 visa expired. I wish to go back to India and apply for an F1.
I have 2 concerns:
1. Has anyone been in a similar situation and got a F1 visa? Are there any risks since my old F1 is expired and I am still enrolled in the university?
2.I notice that there are no appointments for F1 visa. The chennai consulate has provision for emergency visa appointment if the student is within 120 days of the start of the program. Since technically I have already started my program but need to get back before the semester starts, would I be eligible for emergency appointment?
I would really appreciate any help/advise in this regards.
