Student status reinstated !!
Hello ALL:
I entered U.S. on 98 and since then finished my bachelors and never went back till now. I am graduating with my master degree on may 2008. My visa back then was for one year. while I maintained student status, I was out of SEVIS and out of status due to mistakes made by college ( college missed to register me on SEVIS, Back then Sevis was not there) Recently my I-539 got approved and I have been reinstated for the duration of my study. This december, I would like to go to my country and come back but I am kind of scared of getting my visa over there. I live close to Canadian border and would like to go there if chances of getting visa there are higher, and travel to my country during X-mas.
Can anyone adivse me should I go or wait till I graduate ?
I am planning on starting my OPT on may and H1 afterwards.
Did anyone had a similiar situation ?
Any advice will be appreciated.
