  • What a mess.. I-94.. h1b.. F1.. Help!!

I recently returned from the United States after a 3 years stay on an H1B visa. During my time there I had my passport stolen, along with my i-94. I replaced both while still in the US but when the time came for renewing my visa I sent it to my Immigration Attorney in New York and returned the UK without it.

I have decided not to renew now, but I have also decided to return the the US for University. I have my i-20 and I am ready to file for my visa interview, however I am worried about not handing in the i-94 upon leaving the US.

I have contacted my attorney to mail me the original i-94 in order to hand it in. Will this clear my record? I have no flight stubs to accompany it, but I have a record of employment and bank statements from since I have been back in the UK.

I desperatly want to go back to the US to further my education and career, so I am extremely worried about this.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Since you did not return I 94, it is your responsibilty to prove you left US without any over stay or out of status.
