Immigration queries

Hi,

I am heading to Boston for my higher studies next week. I have couple of
queries regarding immigration.

1) How much money in dollars can I carry on F1 status? The maximum
allowed.
2) I have paid the SEVIS fee and i have not received the original
receipt. But i have a copy of the SEVIS fee payment. During immigration
will that copy suffice or do i need to show him the original receipt?
