I am currently finishing up my Ph.D. and preparing to apply for EAD through OPT (I-765). I have previously applied for a pre-completion OPT, which was approved and I received by EAD. Unfortunately - I received a lesson of lifetime through this - I lost that card.
For the new application, the form requires all documentation from previous EAD.
I am planning on sending my application without such documentation. Any thoughts on my problem? Any idea how this will turn out? My prospective employer is applying for H1-B, but I am not sure they will wait until Oct. My plan is to work from July to Oct. on EAD and then transfer to H1-B. Now this bombshell. I would really really appreciate comments of some experts here.
