F2 visa- requirement of I-134

I & my wife are planning to attend interview in august. I need to renew F1 & my wife for F2. I want to know whether it is compulsory to get a notarized I-134 form at the time of interview in addition to the funds that i show on I-20 & my bank account.

I & my wife are planning to attend interview in august. I need to renew F1 & my wife for F2. I want to know whether it is compulsory to get a notarized I-134 form at the time of interview in addition to the funds that i show on I-20 & my bank account.

I-134 (affidavit of support) may only be needed if your money comes from a sponsor in the U.S. If outside the U.S., I don't think you need an I-134.
