F1 or H4

Hi ,

I got admission in an University in USA.
My Husband got a H1-B work permit in USA.
He is planning to go there in May.

I have to go to Chennai embassy for a Visa interview.
In my case are there any chances of rejecting F1 Visa coz my Husband has a
H1-B?

In any case if they reject my F1,can I apply for a H4 immediately?

H-1B allows for immigrant intent but it does not mean that the H-1B holder will immigrate.

You can try for F1. If you are successful in proving you non-immigrant intent, fine. If not, you can certainly try H4.
