  • Emergency appointment

    Hello,

Can i take emergency appointment when F1 visa has been denied once? Please advice as i'm looking for regular F1 appointment dates since a week and they are not available.

    Thanks!

No. You can not. Emergency appointments are for emergencies (death in the family, illness, etc.)

If you try this, the VO will ask you to re-appear after 120 days and not even bother to interview you.

No. Keep checking for the right kind of appointment that you qualify for.

        Hello,

One of the reasons for Emergency appointment for F1 is as follows:
Students or exchange visitors who are within 120 days of their start date of a valid programme and who have not been refused a visa within the last six months.

Well, the first time i took this appointment for my brother as he qualifies for it. He is within 120 days of his start date but now with his visa denial once, he is no longer is eligible in this category.

I've been looking for appointments in Chennai since 2 weeks now and still t shows as "Interview dates not available..." I need to take the appointment soon.

Please advice if there is anything that can be done. Or if anyone knows when usually the slots open.

        Thanks!
