need help on visa validation

Hi there

First of all u people r doing wonderful job thanks.Currently I am holding F1 visa which was issued for spring 08 but due to personal reasons I could'nt make for spring so i am planning for fall 08 to same university.Does the officers at the port of entry ask any reasons or do i have to take permission from the embassy please suggest me the I am very much confused I really don't understand what to do.

Has your visa expired? you can not use the same F1 visa if you failed to register for your classes, you may need a new I-20/F1 visa.

thanks for reply i did not register my classes instead i deferred my i20 and i got it for fall 08 i heard that i have to mail the embassy is it true if it is what is that i should ask them one more thing my visa was issued on jan 08 and valid up to 2012 please suggest me

same is my problem

hi..every body.. my problem is also same...

i got visa in november 2007. expiration date on my visa is feb-2010.. i got visa for spring 2008 and my course duration is 24 months.. but due to family problems i could not go to us and deferd my admission to spring 2009.. and will be getting new I-20 from the same university for the same course with the same sevis number..

will there be any problem that i will face at the port of entry?

If the sevis number is the same and your I120 was re-issed, I don't think it is a problem. Check with the school and consulate.
