  • H1B to F1

    Hey there
I am on a H1B in the US. I have worked here for 4 years now. Before H1B, I was on F1 doing my MS. Now I am planning to go to B-school and want to change my visa status from H1B to F1. I am in favor of leaving the country and applying for the F1 (chennai in my case).
I am fairly confident of my application, but the question is: If my F1 gets rejected, is there a chance that they will cancel my H1B also? My ultimate goal is to be back in the US with a F1 or with my old H1B
Any infor would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

If F1 is granted, H1b will be marked Canceled without prejudice. If F1 is denied, h1b will remain intact provided you have a job.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
