If the university you picked does not even require a GRE, you could possibly argue that Bridgeport does not require it and you did not bother.
What's a backlog?
Your TOEFL score is pretty good but your writing style should reflect that even on an immigration forum.
To give you some idea, I have seen the worst candidates getting visas on a Bridgeport I-20 with shameful TOEFL scores. As they say, "you never know", nowadays.Check out H1 FAQs first!

Your extra-curricular activities do not matter much for the F1 visa. All they care about is your ability to bear the costs of education and you to prove that you will return back home after the study.
How did you manage to get such a high TOEFL score? A GRE would have definitely helped as VOs sometimes look at these scores, but thay don't mean much though. Many people with low scores also make it to the US on F1 visa.
I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

Prud:
I've got 118 on TOEFL, and 900 something on GRE (it was a requirement at my school) but they didn't even look at my test scores at all. I don't think you should be afraid of not doing GRE, or getting only 106 on your TOEFL. I don't know the answers to your other questions, since they didn't look at ANY of my stuff at all! Good luck!
