I am going to US for second masters program in English (Fall 2008) after completing my M.A. here in India. Though I got a PhD admission from George Washington University (no funding), I have decided to join Wayne State University English Department for my 2nd masters program. Now I have my visa interview early next week. I consulted so many people about the answer of the question "why second masters?", but nobody seemed to reply properly.
Can i say something like this to the VO?
"after completing my Master's when i was searching for English Lit. Grad program in US schools, looking at their curriculum i realized that the Indian Master's is not a proper equivalent of US Master's. In a sense it's not complete in India. so to hone my skills and have a greater command over the subject, i opted for applying again to the Master's program.."
or do i need to say something else?
Seniors and other guys please give me suggestion for this answer. Kindly help.
