I'm pursuing my masters in on h4 visa,my h4 visa gets expired on oct 1st 2008.I'm planning to change my status from h4 to f1 status. I will be submitting I-539 form,for which USCIS takes 3-4 months to approve. I am planning to do OPT in FALL 2008 hence I should submit for F1 now.
If my f1 status change application processing is delayed,i may have to leave US by oct 1st 2008.
Can I apply for H4 extension and H4-F1 status change at same time?
Any suggestions are welcomed?
