  • F1 VISA rejected

My sister's F1 VISA was rejected due to insufficient funds. She actually had a family income of 4lks per annum, savings, other properties and approved bank loan. But she was not given a chance to explain about it or the VO did not bother to check the proof of funds. So to re-appear for the F1 VISA does she have to repay the SEVIS fee again. Also any suggestions on how to proceed further? I checked the time slot for July and it is completed booked. Is there a way we can get an appointment in normal slot in Chennai. Can somebody respond, its very urgent.

    Thanks

      It depends on VO

It was February 2005 when my family (F2) was denied on the basis of funds without giving time to explain. But l applied again and put a request for emergency date, and I was allowed in next week; and next time the VO have not even asked/seen the documents for funds, instead asked how you got interview date so quickly? have you paid? (bribed)?
Prepare youself and reply with confidence.
Though we had to pay visa fee again.
      Good luck!
