Hi everyone,

I have actually got admission from NJIT and FIU, for MS Fall 08. My uncle living in the US (Green card holder) is sponsoring me for the studies.

Will it affect my visa obtaining chances, as I heard that when a person living in the US is sponsoring ur studies, it may create a negative impression with VO.

Is it true, somebody plz help me.

yea its true and they will reject your visa under potential immigrant.

Have u been granted the F1 visa

hi there...I read your post at Immihelp, and have a similar dilemma. I have been admitted for MS at a US university for spring09 semester. My brother inlaw is sponsoring part of my education there, which I'll need to mention during F1 interview....

So, have u finally got your F1 visa? If yes, Were there any hassels in getting it cleared up?...and finally, based on your experience, do you have any advise for me?

Same dilema here now:
Me and my husband (we both USC) want to sponsor a student visa for my younger 15 year old sister to come here to attend high school in a private school.
Last year I applied for my mother to get her green card and her process is almost done.
I wonder what are the chances of rejection for my sister to come here.
I would appreciate any thoughts about this issue.
