Hello,
My friend got admit to two different programs (A & B) in a University for Fall Semester and he got visa for program A. Now he want to pursue program B. Is it possible now to change the program in the same university when he got his visa?

Yes, you can go join the univ and fill out a change of program form. However, it might be needed to amend your visa and I-20 etc for that. Contact your school's ISO for more info.

As the amendment in visa is needed, will the school do that or there is need to appear again for visa interview?

To change school, one has to attend 1 semester in the visa issued school. To change program in the same school, the ISO can help you better if there are any restrictions.
