Dear Sir,
First of all thank you for being of immense help for foreign medical graduates.
I am in a unique situation.
I am in a third year Medicine residency after completing my first 2 years at a university hospital.
My first year got delayed due to social security issual delay and my actual start date was august,21,2006 instead of july,01,2006.
My program failed to inform ECFMG about the delay in starting date and I called ECFMG about extension, but they rebuked me saying the program should have informed them during the first year itself.
They have asked my program director to send ina letter regarding the same.
Will i land in any trouble with regards to this??
I have been accepted into fellowship in cardiology, will ecfmg creat trouble renewing my J1 statuis now?
How do i approach this?
