how to maintain f1 status

i need help on how to maintain f1 status

becuase i had completed my required credits last sem the university is not allowing me to file for OPT this sem allthough i am graduating this sem.
my i-20 expires on aug 14

what are the options i have to maintain my f1 status and be able to work ?

i know one option is enroling in community college?
are there any other options which does not involve joining a education institute?

does anyone know of any community college in mi which allows student to start cpt immeditely after they join college?

CPT must be as part of curriculum - not just to allow you to work.

If you are not eligible for OPT, you need to return home as there is no other way for you to work except a cap exempt H-1B which is rare.

well as a last option i can change back to H4. is there any list of cap exempt h-1b employers
