help regarding OPT

Hello yall,

I just graduated in Kinesiology and health studies and my OPT is goin to start from 10th of August. I got a call a from IT consultancy that they will give me few weeks training and give me a job and ready to sponser H1 visa too.

I just need to ask like I am from health studies background and will work in IT field during OPT , does it matter with my status or EAD?
Actually few of my friend they were from bussines backgraound and working in IT field and they got H1 also. But anyone can please tell me if its going to be wrong in future and how did they know about it that I am working for IT firm??

Stay away from such companies that **** your resume.

On OPT, it is mandatory that your employment is in the field of your study.
