From H1B to F1

    From H1B to F1

    Hi,

    I am on OPT right now and my H1B got approved. the status starts from october.

    I have 2 questions:

    1) Can I change my status to F1 before october? if yes how can i do it.
    2)Once i go onto october and status changes to H1B can i change to F1. If yes How?

    What do you mean by change over to F1? Your F1 sevis record will be terminated Oct 1st and if you want to get back on F1, it has to be all over again. Talk to your school and they will guide you.
