I would like to get an assistance for H1 visa. My area of work is Sports and I have done my Masters in Athletic Coaching Leadership. I have got my OPT but so far I didn't get any job in my area of study but I am working in Pre school and After school program ITS NOT TOTALLY MY AREA BUT MOST PART OF so my question is Can I apply H1 visa on current job. Its a full time 40 hours/ week job. Please help me out if I can apply in October 08 for H1 visa and what are the chances to get H1 visa?? Thanks.

You cannot apply for H1b but your school should apply for H1b. Your school should also qualify for a cap-exempt H1b if it wants to get a H1b now as the filing deadline is over. Most schools do not qualify for cap exemption unless they are associated with a research institute.
