    F1 visa holder break in studies

    Hi all,
    I am curently a F1 visa holder and I have some problems and I need to take 1 semester break. So my question is am I going to loose my status and how can I reinstate my F1 visa next semester?

    You need to return to your home country. There is no "taking a break" on F1.

      Do you have an option to get on any dependent status? Are you married and does your significant other hold any other status?
