Hi!
I am in my senior year of undergraduate course. Until September 2008 I was on G-4 visa (as my father works for the United Nations and is based in the US). I changed my status to F-1 which was approved by USCIS. My father and mother are living and working in the US. All of us are also Canadian Permanent Residents.
I want to visit my grandparents in India during my winter break. Therefore need to have my passport stamped with F-1 from US Embassy in Canada to re-enter the US.
I have heard that the US Embassy may refuse to stamp my passport with F-1 despite having an USCIS approved letter of change of status.
What do I need to do to ensure that my passport is stamped with F-1.
