My father has a e2 visa that has expired he is still in the USA under his valid I-94. I have also a valid I-94 for 2 years. I have applied for a change of status from e2 to f1 in the USA which has not yet been approved.
However I understand that if I leave the country i will need to apply for a f1 in the US embassy.
However I am worry they refuse the visa because they might feel i want to leave in the USA because my parents are in the USA under their e2 visa.
Can I say that their visa has expired and they might come back in France but me I want to finish my study and after come back? Is it a good stategy?
Any advises will be helpful
