F1 to H1

Dear Sir,
I am applying for F1 visa and hope it will be approved but my task is to work and live in USA. after going to US on F1 visa my intention is to do job there. is it possible to change my status in US from f1 to h1 during my study and before completing my course or year if i found a suitable job? bcoz one consultant told me that i will have to complete my course or year before applying for new H1 visa. please help me by true information

You need to find an employer for sponsor your H1. Applications are done on April 1 and you have to go through lottery and be selected.
If you complete a master's degree, chances of going through the lottery are much better.
