Hi,
I am doing my Masters in Computer Science here in US and am into my 3rd semester here. My f-1 visa stamp is expiring in June 2003 and I need another 3 months to finish my degree after June. This is because my univ offered a new concentration and so my degree has extended. I was thinking of getting my visa extended for a few months when i go to india in december. But our advisor in school says its risky that I might get rejected and wont be able to come back and finish my degree. So she suggests that I can maintain my status till my I-20 is valid but couldnt leave the country then. And I still have a year of OPT with me after i graduate, so not being able to leave the country doesnt look like a good idea.
Any suggestions as to what can be done in this situation?
