Visa Appointment!!!!!!!!!!!! Urgent

Hi,
I got My I-20 very late(on 17th) due to some delay from the school. I got to report to the school on 5th Jan 2009.
I am unable to get emergency appointments at chennai Consulate. I emailed VFS number of times,but of no use. I even called them many times and explained abt the situation but they were insisting upon to look for the appointment.
I ve been checking online for appointment since 7 Days.
I need an appointment in December. Kindly Advise.

There are some last minute drop outs sometimes. With the holiday season rush, it will be tough. Check for those. Otherwise, defer your admission to next semester (summer if it exists or fall)

As far as I know DS-2019 form is valid for plus and minus one month of joining date. I don't know about I 20. you can ask your school. if yes than your I 20 is valid upto 5 feb 2009.

as well as in case of emergency I THINK you can shift to other consulate also....in mumbai consulate dates between jan 12 to 19, 2009 are available for emergency appointments.....

i heard about people or agents or whatever you call them who give emergency appointments and other visa appointments and you might want to consider them,or just enquire with some visa agencies.Iam not sure but i hope it helps.
