  • F1 Rejection

    Hi

I am right now in US on a H1 visa. I have an issue, like my brother was rejected his F1 visa 3 -4 times in India during dec 07 and jun 08, so now he is in New Zealand doing his Masters. Now I have a plan of getting him here atleast on a visitor visa, so that he can visit me for a month. My Question is that, is it fine for him to apply for a B2 from a foreign country; I mean to say can he apply for B2 visa at the US embassy in NZ. If so what are all the documents that he needs to take from his side and what are all the documents that I need to provide from my side. Also how strong should be the documentation because firstly he is applying in a foreign country and secondly he has few rejections for the US Visa? Also can I know if his previous rejections would have any effect on his future application for B2?

Waiting for your Quick and positive response.

      Thanks for the reply...

Does this mean that he can’t apply at NZ for his B2?

He can apply but high chances of rejection because he is not a resident or working but just student.

          F1 Visa Rejected

Hi, I am Varun from Punjab.

I applied for F1 U.S visa for undergraduate studies (community college).
          Unfortunatly, I was refused visa.
Actually, I got nervous there and I did'nt answer some qusetions well.
Now, I want to reaplly but I have certain doubts.

          1) I will be applying after 5 months, so "Will I have to prepare the support affaidavits again?"

          2) "For how long an affaidavit is valid for US embassy?"
My relatives and parents have sponsered me, so when I will be going to interview again, "Will I have to take new affaidavits with latest dates?"

          3) As I will be reapllying, I want to know that "Will the interview be more tougher now?"

          Please answer these qusetions.

          Friendly,
          Varun Kumar

F1 visa rejected...... please help me !!!

My name is Varun Kumar. I am from India.
I applied for student visa to US in January 2009. I was accepted at a community college in an associate degree. When I went to the interview, the officer asked me several questions. Though I answered many but few questions were not answered efficiently. Actually, I was nervous being my first interview at any foreign consulate.
They asked me that "Why I want to pursue degree in US and why not in India?"
They also asked me about my percentage in senior secondary. I don't have good percentage. I told them everything truthfully.
They inquired me about my family and asked that whether I know someone in US.
Well, I didn’t know anyone in US. I answered them no.
During the interview, they didn’t saw my financial documents. They just saw the I-20, my passport, MRV fee slip and other forms.
The visa officer denied my visa stating that she is not convinced. After sometime, I requested them to send me the visa rejection letter.
They send me an email. The email stated that my visa was rejected under Section 214(b)of Immigration and Nationality act.
I have prepared all the answers now. But my query is that will they ask me these questions again or will they ask me something different. Another thing that I want to know is that "Do USA grants visa for community colleges?"
My percentage is not so good. I completed my senior secondary in March 2008. The interviewer also asked me that “What I have been doing till January?” Well I was so much interested and confident about my visa that I didn’t enrolled at any educational institutions anywhere in India. I am admitted into the community college on behalf of senior secondary, so there was no purpose of getting enrolled at educational institution in India. But the visa officer didn’t understand this fact.
“I want o know that whether my unsatisfactory answers were responsible for visa denial?”
If it is so, then what should be done?
            I want to reapply.
I have prepared the answers now. But my query is that will they ask me these questions again or will they ask me something different.
Is this thing also responsible for the visa rejection. What circumstances of mine should I change to reapply.
