No the forum is not only for ppl from India. But the advice you get here is not entirely from lawyers, so decide yourself if you want to ask for it.

My question is: as a student can i apply for a green card, or my employer has to do that? I am going to start my intership in april.

There is nothing to stop you or your employer from applying, but as an F1 you entered the US without intending to immigrate and green card application (AOS) qualifies as intent to immigrate, so it may be denied.
For an internship you do not need a green card if you are in school, you can get CPT authorization by talking to your school's DSO, alternatively you may also get OPT authorization.
