Currently I am staying in USA on an F2 visa. I got admission to a school for PhD and need to change visa to F1. Though we are near to Canadian border international office suggested that if I go to Canada for visa change, chances are more that visa will be rejected and in that case i will not be able to re-enter US. so we planned on going to India for the visa change.
Now I was trying to apply online from here for a visa interview appointment.
In form DS156, my current address is asked. When I give my current address in USA, it comes as default in DS158 (No.4) and there it demands the address in India. I am confused about which address to give.
I have been trying to complete the DS157 and DS158 forms for an F1 visa. I tried almost 8-10 times on different browsers and different machines; every time I submit, I get an error message saying server error.
Is it possible to apply online for a visa appointment while in US?
