    COS Rejection (H1 to F1)

    Hi,
    If my H1 to F1 COS gets rejected, what options I'll have?
    Assuming H-1B employer is not running my payroll after my school/I file COS petition since I don't have to maintain H-1status once I file COS for H1 to F1.
    Would I have any status at that time?
    What preemptive step I can take before hand even if get rejected, I don't lose my status?

    Out of status on rejection of COS.

      If COS is rejected you are considered to have no status, so you will need to leave the country.
      This is my opinion and not legal advice.

        I-94 expires in Sept 2011.

          You should continue working and getting paid till COS is approved to be safe.
