Hi, I was on J1 visa 2 years ago when I went to Chicago for exchange.
When I got back to my country, out of curiosity and for fun, I enrolled myself in the green card programme.
Recently, I am thinking of applying to US universities to do my masters, which I will have to apply for an F1 visa. One of the requirements of an F1 visa is that I must not show any intentions of immigration. Will my prior greencard application (2 years ago) ruin my chances of getting an F1 visa? If so, will immediately pulling out of the programme help?
I'm so vexed. I dont' want a stupid mistake to ruin my grad school application
